Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives (AVOD) S.A.O.G participated in Gulfood 2013, the world’s largest annual food and hospitality show, held at the World Trade Centre in Dubai. In this three day event, beginning February 25, Sultanate of Oman was represented by Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) and AVOD, one of the largest companies in the country, was an integral part of it.
Talking about AVOD’s key participation, Mr.Salem Al Bortmany, DGM, AVOD says: “We were excited to showcase our product portfolio at Gulfood, an international show with an exceptional reputation. AVOD has established itself as a leader in delivering high quality and innovative products. Our performance over the years has been satisfactory. We started off with oils and fats. Then we started producing margarine and later on butter and now mayonnaise. This motivates us to look for niche markets for growth in the developing food market. Gulfood Exhibition ranks as the biggest food and beverage industry related trade event in the world. It was a perfect platform for us to introduce our premier products like Khafeef, the lightest frying oil in the GCC, to new potential customers in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. It also provided us an opportunity to learn about latest business trends and new products, meet business visitors from different parts of the globe. Most importantly, it is always a great honor to represent your country in an event of such magnitude and importance”.
