At a time, when 95 per cent of the world is using gasoline or diesel combustion engines and looking at developing a hybrid option to minimize the great harm to the environment, the Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda creates a revolution called SkyActiv. SkyActiv is a blanket term for Mazda’s innovative new-generation technologies that facilitates to achieve Mazda’s dual goal of providing ‘driving pleasure’ and ‘environmental and safety’ performance that is comparable to the hybrid options on existing fuel options currently available.

Customer benefits
Mazda’s Skyactiv technology is ingenious, efficient and economical.
It gives a compression ratio of a race car and high low-mid range torque which increases driving pleasure. It gives 15 per cent better fuel economy and makes Mazda a cost-effective brand for the automobilists.

As regards the vehicle chassis, the new platform is lighter but also more rigid, which again enhances driving dynamics. The most important safety aspect in a vehicle is also enhanced by the rigidity of the platform.

Under ideal driving conditions with uninterrupted traffic, Mazda cars give the 15% improvement in torque which ensures a stronger performance and 15% reduction in Carbon dioxide emission which benefits the humanity, at large”, says a senior spokesperson at Mazda Oman.

A Zoom-Zoom technology
SkyActiv technology is founded on a ‘Sustainable Zoom-Zoom’ vision, which is directed towards achieving a sustainable future for the people and the Earth and ultimate efficiency and outstanding performance for its vehicles.

Kasber Johnson National Service Manager, Mazda Oman points out: “The newly designed exhaust system, shortened combustion period and multi hole injectors in the Mazda vehicles create an optimal (uniform) air-fuel mixture and reduce the harmful effects on the environment. The Mazda CX-5, introduced in Oman, is the first in a long line of Mazda motors to incorporate this futuristic technology wholly -- including the gasoline engine, transmission, body and chassis.
