If you want to own pets, Al Qurm Sabco Shopping Center is a good place to try on. There is another pet shop at CCC in front of Pizza hut. If you take the highway at Ghobra Roundabout and come towards the airport till you find Ministry of Tourism, off the highway, about 20 to 30 meters away from the highway, you will find a bridge type avenue. When you pass few shops there and turn to right re-emerging to the highway, you will find a service road. On that road you will get a pet shop.
There is a notice board at MQ Al Fair where people put notice of pets that they want to sell. It is another good place looking for owning a pet. You can try also Pet World, Food and Toys wing of Sultan Centre, Lulu and Carrefour. Many major hotels in Muscat don't allow visitors to take pets inside.
