When the businesses are blooming and the profit is flowing, the management is easy and everyone is smiling at each other. But when the things go wrong and profit dries, management seems very hard and everyone frowns at each other. This is a time that administrators take despicable steps to keep the business flowing cutting little by little starting from extreme down to the top.
Setting the goals to a common agenda by understanding of set objectives between the management and employees of an organization for the benefit of all in it is the process called Management by Objectives (MBO). Peter Drucker first introduced this method in 1954 with one of his well famous book The Practice of Management.

Work for a common goal by activating as a team rather than working individually makes the set goals reachable more easily. As the word defines, it shows the cooperation and coordination within a group to achieve a common goal for the benefit of all.
Although the supervisor is the last cog of the management, he has got critical responsibilities to the smooth function of an organization. The demanding areas of decision-making, problem solving, planning, delegation as well as effective liaison with higher management are essential for good supervising.
Planning is elaborated as the foremost step of the effective management in the today’s competitive business world. Those who plan well before acting will gain top most results in it.

For an execution of a rule, or a decision, there should be well-mapped strategies to get the necessary support from the relevant field. An administrator who lacks with these strategies will ultimately be in conflict even though the action taken is for welfare of the workers and the organization.
