As part of its continuous assistance and support towards charitable associations, the Khimji Ramdas Group made a generous contribution of RO 5,000 to the Social Symbiosis Trust. The donation went towards the Trust’s social welfare initiatives and humanitarian aid in the Wilayat of Badia. Here, over 207 orphans representing 85 families together with 98 insolvent families benefit from the Trust’s economic and financial aid.

KR, through its committed involvement in the Trust’s endeavours, has helped fund charitable projects and programmes in the Wilayat. One such was a First group marriage conducted last October, which benefited 35 grooms and saw over 4,000 invitees attend the auspicious occasion. A similar event or a second group marriage was conducted this January. In addition, KR’s kind-hearted gesture helped the Trust initiate a programme to provide breakfast for insolvent families. 

That is not all; the conglomerate’s generosity was instrumental in helping the Social Symbiosis Trust provide basic amenities for destitute families such as air conditioners, water heaters, repair works and the construction of small rooms for orphans. The trust expressed immense gratitude to KR for its contribution and support to their fund, always mindful that the corporate giant is an active participant in any initiative aimed at making the world a better place to live in.
